Hey folks, had a great time working backstage with y'all last June @ Waterfest in Oshkosh. You also said some very nice things about us in your tour diary. So I am very happy to see you booked again this June. I have taken to heart the compliment you gave me when you described my stage management style as the 'Velvet Glove'. See you soon, Hat-Light Ashley

Sarah
I saw you for the very first time last night, at the Turning Point in Piermont, NY. Your performance was outstanding! You practically blow the audience out the windows with your extraordinary energy, power, and charisma! And although I was jealous of the perspective of your drummer, it was far more entertaining viewing your amazing variety of facial expressions, and the movements of your sensuous eyes. Great Music, Great Band, Great Show!
Hope to see you guys again soon!
Jake

Saw your show last night (spoke w/you briefly after) at Johnny D's. You were brilliant, the audience was like a buncha lumps (especially the 2 doz lummoxes STANDING STILL on the dance floor -- there is a reason it's called a DANCE floor), but you rose above it. Come back. Despite evidence to the contrary, Boston really does appreciate good music.

Just to let you know, KDEC-FM100.5 has been playing "The Day We Met" since last summer, and is now on "Stop and Think It Over" as well. Good stuff. Dave Grouws is our music director and is making good decisions. Good luck with your career. If you're ever close to Northeast Iowa, we'd enjoy having you stop by....maybe we can put together a Sarah Borges Show in the neatest little town in the Midwest.

Thanks for the two great shows you brought us here in KC in '07. Also, 'Diamonds in the Dark' was one of the best CDs I heard last year. It still is in Heavy Rotation on my car stereo. I just wanted to wish the band all the best in 2008 and can't wait to hear tales from your shows in Germany in May. Have a Happy and Successful New Year!

December 23, 2007
Sarah,
Congratulations on the award for Best Local Female vocals in the Boston Music Awards!!!
It comes as no surprise to Sunnye and Benny as we have been lucky enough to see your show several times in 2007.
We're from Yazoo, Mississippi, but we'll come to see you and your band any chance we get.
The first show was in Sioux City, IA at Saturday in the Park and later at the Chesterfield. Next we saw you in Nashville, at 3rd and Lindsley. Then we had drinks at the Wagon Wheel on Broadway and watched Heath Haynes and Johnny Lasso. Next stop for us was Lincoln, NE. We missed you in Omaha due to Sunnye's flight being late. Lucky for us, the Zoo Bar show was very cool!
Y'all keep touring and we'll see you again, somewhere. Your band has a great chemistry and the live show is not to be missed!
Love all y'all!!!

Went to the Paradise show on Friday night with group of 18.
Very excited to see Grace Potter whom many of us have followed and listened to. Wow. What a pleasant suprise when Sarah and the boys took the stage. Totally rocked our middle-aged socks off. Count me (and our whole group for that matter) as big Sarah Borges fans. Bought the CD, and haven't stopped listening to it. Looking forward to seeing Sarah again soon in or around Beantown.

Thanks to Sarah and the band for a great show at Knuckleheads last night. It was good to see a much larger crowd than the show you played there in June and you converted many new fans last night! That well-coifed wedding party that turned up sure lit up the dance floor! All in all, there was a real party atmosphere at the club last night and much of that is thanks to you guys. I hope you always remember to stop in Kansas City whenever you're in the Midwest. We LOVE you here!

It was a pleasure to have you grace our stage. I realize that if you are reading this I may be preaching to the choir but here goes…
I’ve seen a lot of rock-n-roll in my 48 years. I’ve listened to it on everything from vinyl records and 8-Track tapes to CDs and downloads on my iPod. I’ve been to venues from coffee shops to stadiums.
This last year I’ve rediscovered vinyl records and on Friday night I rediscovered coffee shops.
At a coffee shop called Grounds For Thought in Bowling Green, Ohio, I saw these guys live for the first time. Thanks to Kelly and Laura Wicks for underwriting the event (it was a free show)!
Do yourself three favors. Buy a record player and start listening to vinyl records, buy everything that these guys record and lastly…If these guys every play anywhere within 200 miles of where you live, get up off the couch, flip the record over and then get in the car and drive to see them live. You won’t get many chances to sit 3 feet away from a group of musicians of this caliber.

October 29, 2007
Just back from my 3RD Road Trip sinc Aug. (This one a 800mile trek) to see this Incredible live band at Johnny D's in Boston. The opening act - Kevin Connolly was very good. His cd made for an enjoyable ride home. But the Main Course was of course SBBS. Tight, Frisky & Rockin'!! Rob & Binky really laid down some Solid foundation. Ken Camandeco got up with Sarah & the boys for a few tunes including "All This Weight' (one of my favs) which he penned his very own self. His harmonica reallt added to the songs(when his cord actually stayed pluged in to his harmonica!). Mike - he must have been on steroids - his guitar was on Fire! Man his solos were ferocious & had the Steel singing. And Singing is what Sara knows what to do -with Attitude!! (God she even pulled off Sam's classic "Bring It On Home To Me" like it was one of her own- and by the way- check out how many of the song on Diamonds In The Dark are written by Sarh!). Talk to her before the show and here's this warm, pretty, inteligent girl next store. Then she straps on that guitar and BLAM!! Wow! Annie Oaklie with a guitar.
She had the crowd ( & my 50 yr old knees ) dancin'. Even one Gentleman(Ron) dropped his cane( I kid you not) & danced! Only thing that kept it from being perfect - the dam bar kicked people out too soon -1am. And I wish they they had time for "Blind Love". ps How can Sarah get nominated for "Local" female vocalist - it should be NATIONAL FEMALE VOCALIST!!
Sam

Hello:
My cousin and my best friend from college recently caught a show in Atlanta from Sarah and The Band. Friend just turned 50, the old fart..wait, so did I ..arrrrggh!)
They are real fans, and I just downloaded "The Day We Met" and I am loving it, solid songwriting and production, love the drumming.
You guys kind of remind me of the 80s band Lone Justice, but with more of a Rocakabilly feel.
If you are in Maine, hope to see a live performance!
Also spread the gospel at my drumming forum:
